Hardwood

Natural hardwood floors add distinctive beauty as well as lasting value. With a professional and quality installation, your wood floor will bring long lasting joy to your family for years to come.

Natural hardwood floors have even been suggested by doctors for people with respiratory allergy problems. Hardwood floors have a natural ability to repel and trap less animal dander, mites, dust and pollen, all of which can trigger unpleasant allergy attacks. Not only is a hardwood floor a wise investment, it also may have health benefits.

Installation. Your hardwood floor will be installed by knowledgeable, friendly professional installers. Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed by our one-year installation warranty.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are hardwood floors difficult to maintain?
Not at all. In many cases, they are easier than carpet, ceramic tile, laminate or vinyl.

What do I use under my furniture to protect the floor from scratching?
Felt protector pads should be used in place of the hard metal or plastic buttons found on the legs of your furniture to prevent damage to the floor.

Can I mop my floors using hot, soapy water?
No. Water can prematurely age your hardwood floors and cause them to crack and split.

Should I expect color variations in my floor?
Yes. Wood is a product of nature, so you will often see variations from board to board. No two boards are ever the same.

I moved my area rug and my wood is lighter where the rug was. What happened?
Wood goes through a natural aging process called patina. Bright sunlight can accelerate this condition. Moving area rugs or other items that may cause this effect is recommended from time to time.

Can I have hardwood installed in my bathroom?
Hardwood flooring is not the best option in rooms with high moisture exposure, such as bathrooms. Use flooring materials that offer better moisture resistance, such as vinyl, ceramic tile, stone or laminate.

What about high-traffic areas?
Due to the sophisticated finishing systems on our products, the finish is durable enough to withstand constant use. We recommend using walk-off mats at doorways and pivot points such as kitchen sinks and refrigerators. Use commercial-rated products for commercial installations.
