“The Best Flooring at the Best Price”, that’s the motto of John Stacy, the owner of S&H Distributing family of fine flooring stores and flooring outlets.

Sometimes thinks of his stores as the $5-off place, because most of the time this is exactly what we can save you over the exact same product from another store. If you are flexible, we can save you 50%, sometimes even up to 70%. On our special purchases, we can literally install your carpet for less than what our competition is paying for the same or similar carpet.

How so? Well the Stacy family has another long held motto – “Do unto others as you would have done unto you.” They love a bargain. In fact, the Stacys are legendary bargain hunters! They say that if it is a good deal for them then it will be a good deal for their customers. If it’s a good deal for their customers, then the customers will tell friends and family. This simple idea has been the key to the company’s growth.

The foundation for S&H was laid out with John’s own heritage. Born in Dalton, Ga., the carpet capital of the world, he received a degree from the University of Georgia in 1967. He worked with a number of different mills during the next 20 years, rising to national sales manager of one mill. All the time, he was gaining the product knowledge and developing personal relationships with the mills. These relationships have enabled S&H to be first on the list for great bargains.

The mills know who will buy all their stock on first-quality discontinued carpet, whether it’s 25 rolls or 250 rolls. They know John will take five truckloads of promotional goods to parcel out between his stores.

When S&H Distributing began, we were a distributor and sold only to floor covering dealers. When we opened our doors to the public, we offered distributor pricing to the retail customers. Unlike traditional flooring stores, we want our customers to shop around and see who’s got the best deal in town. (Hint: it’s us!)

Our simple warehouse showrooms may be hard to find but it’s definitely worth the time and effort. We keep our overhead low which keeps our prices lower. Most of our retail advertising is word of mouth and customer referral. It’s not unusual for us to install flooring for a customer, and then install for parents, siblings, aunts and uncles. Relationships like this have not just built our retail business but have made being in business worthwhile and a joy.
